Tolstoi et les juifs.

Cette question n'est pas aussi étrange que cela puisse paraître à première vue. Examinons cette créature libre qui a été isolée et opprimée, foulée aux pieds et poursuivie, brûlée et noyée par tous les dirigeants et les nations, mais qui n'en est pas moins vivante et prospère en dépit de tout le monde.
Qu'est-ce qu'un Juif qui n'a pas succombé à toutes les tentations mondaines offertes par ses oppresseurs et persécuteurs de sorte qu'il aurait renoncé à sa religion et qu'il aurait abandonné la foi de ses pères?


Un Juif est un être sacré qui s'est procuré un feu éternel du ciel et, avec lui il éclaire la terre et ceux qui y vivent.
Il est le printemps et la source d'où le reste des nations ont puisé leurs religions et leurs croyances.
Un Juif est un pionnier de la culture. Depuis des temps immémoriaux, l'ignorance était impossible en Terre Sainte, de même que de nos jours dans l'Europe civilisée. En outre, au moment où la vie et la mort d'un être humain ne valaient rien,
Rabbi Akiva s'est prononcé contre la peine de mort qui est maintenant considérée comme une peine acceptable dans la plupart des pays civilisés.

Un Juif est un pionnier de la liberté. Retour dans les temps primitifs, quand la nation a été divisée en deux classes, les maîtres et les esclaves, l'enseignement de Moïse interdit la tenue d'une personne comme esclave pendant plus de six ans.
Un Juif est un symbole de la tolérance civile et religieuse, «donc montrez votre amour pour l'étranger, car vous avez été étrangers dans le pays d'Égypte ». Ces paroles ont été prononcées au cours de lointains, et barbares temps où il était
communément acceptable entre les nations d'asservir les autres.

En termes de tolérance, la religion juive est loin de recruter des adhérents. Bien au contraire, le Talmud stipule que si un non-Juif veut se convertir à la foi juive, il faut lui expliquer combien il est difficile d'être Juif et que les justes des autres religions aussi héritent le royaume céleste.
Un Juif est un symbole de l'éternité. La nation qui ne n'abat, ni ne torture pourrait exterminer, la nation que ni le feu ni l'épée des civilisations ont été en mesure d'effacer de la surface de la terre, la nation qui la première annonce la Parole de Dieu, la nation qui a préservé la prophétie depuis si longtemps et qui l'a passé au reste de l'humanité, une telle nation ne peut pas disparaître.
Un Juif est éternel, il est une incarnation de l'éternité.

What is a Jew? This question is not as strange as it may seem at first glance. Let’s examine this free creature that was insulated and oppressed, trampled on and pursued, burned and drowned by all the rulers and the nations, but is nevertheless living and thriving in spite of the whole world.
What is a Jew that did not succumb to any worldly temptations offered by his oppressors and persecutors so that he would renounce his religion and abandon the faith of his fathers?
A Jew is a sacred being who procured an eternal fire from the heavens and with it illuminated the earth and those who live on it. He is the spring and the source from which the rest of the nations drew their religions and beliefs.
A Jew is a pioneer of culture. From time immemorial, ignorance was impossible in the Holy Land, even more so than nowadays in civilized Europe. Moreover, at the time when the life and death of a human being was worth nothing, Rabbi Akiva spoke against the death penalty which is now considered to be an acceptable punishment in the most civilized countries.

The nation which neither slaughter nor torture could exterminate, which neither fire nor sword of civilizations were able to erase from the face of earth, the nation which first proclaimed the word of Lord, the nation which preserved the prophecy for so long and passed it on to the rest of humanity, such a nation cannot vanish.

יהודי- הינו יצור קדוש שהשיג מן השמים אש נצחית והאיר בה את החיים עלי אדמות. הוא,מקור ומעיין שממנו שאבו כל שאר העמים את דתם ואת אמונתם.
יהודי - מגלה התרבות הראשון, מקדמת דנא הייתה הבערות בלתי אפשרית בארץ הקודש -במידה גדולה יותר מאשר באירופה המתורבתת של זמננו. מה עוד, שבאותם זמנים פראיים כשחיים ומוות של אדם לא נחשבו כלל, הצהיר רבי עקיבא כי הוא מתייצב נגד עונש מוות הנחשב בתקופה הנוכחית לעונש סביר במדינות התרבותיות ביותר.
יהודי, המגלה הראשון של חירות. גם באותם זמנים קדמונים, כשעם התחלק לשני מעמדות,תורת משה אסרה להחזיק אדם כעבד למעלה משש שנים.
יהודי- הינו סמל הסובלנות האזרחית והדתית. " ואהבתם את הגר" , ציווה משה, " כי גרים הייתם בארץ מצרים". מילים אלה נאמרו באותם ימים ברבריים ורחוקים, כשמקובל היה בקרב העמים לשעבד זה את זה.
באשר לסובלנות דתית, הדת היהודית לא זו בלבד שהנה רחוקה מלהביא לשורותיה אתהנוטים לבוא אליה, כי אם להפך - התלמוד מצווה שאם לא יהודי
רוצה להצטרף לדת היהודית, יש להבהיר לו מה קשה להיות יהודי, וכי מאמיני דתות אחרות יירשו גם הם מלכות השמיים.
יהודי הינו סמל הנצח. לא טבח ולא עינויים, לא אש ולא חרב האינקוויזיציה הצליחו להכחידו. הוא אשר ראשון בישר את דבר ה". הוא אשר זמן רב כל כך
שמר על הנבואה ומסרה לאנושות כולה. עם כזה אינו יכול להיעלם.
יהודי הינו הנצחי - הוא התגשמות הנצח
